Office Policies

The following office policies are applicable to our kids dentistry service as well as our orthodontic services. 

• Parents & Guardians

  A parent or legal guardian must be present during the first visit in order to sign consent to treatment and all medical documents. Parents are always welcome in the treatment room during their child’s dental visit.

• Appointment Booking & Cancellation

  We make every effort to book appointments for all patients in a timely manner. Priority is given to patients in pain or those who are experiencing dental emergencies.

  We reserve a time slot specifically for you or your child. We kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice prior to rescheduling or cancelling an appointment so that another patient can be accommodated.

  Failure to provide 48 hour notice will result in a $50 charge.

• Payment Methods

  We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash and money orders.

  All payments are due at the time of the appointment.

• Insurance Claims & Estimates

  You are required to pay for your treatment upfront, and we will gladly submit your insurance claim to your insurance provider electronically, so that you will be reimbursed as efficiently as possible. 

  At your request, we will send a treatment plan estimate directly to your insurance provider prior to treatment. This service allows you to establish in advance what portion of the treatment plan is covered by your insurance policy.

• Social Assistance Programs

  We are pleased to accept social assistance programs, like the Health Smiles program. 
  
  The Government of Ontario offers free dental care for children 17 years  and under, if they are eligible through the Healthy Smiles Ontario program, designed for lower-income families in need of support.

  This program includes regular visits to a licensed dental provider and covers the costs of treatment including: check-ups, cleanings, fillings, x-rays, emergency dental care and more.
